NoziConsults (Pty) Ltd ("NoziConsults", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This notice explains how we collect, use, share and safeguard personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 ("POPIA").
1. Who we are
NoziConsults (Pty) Ltd is a private company incorporated in the Republic of South Africa under CIPC registration number K2022805551, trading as a boutique advisory and fractional CFO practice. Nozipho Cele, CA(SA), is the director, founder and designated Information Officer.

2. Scope of this notice
This notice applies to:
- visitors to www.noziconsults.com;
- prospective clients who contact us, book a consultation or complete a form on the website;
- users of our free online tools;
- subscribers to our newsletter or insights.
Where you are a contracted client, a separate data protection clause in your Letter of Engagement governs the personal information processed in the course of delivering services to you. That clause prevails over this notice in the event of any conflict.

4. How and why we process your information (lawful grounds)
We process personal information on the following POPIA lawful grounds:
- Consent: where you voluntarily submit a form, book a consultation or subscribe to the newsletter.
- Performance of a contract: to provide services agreed under a Letter of Engagement.
- Legitimate interest: to operate the website securely, prevent fraud, respond to enquiries and improve our services.
- Legal obligation: to comply with tax, accounting, anti-money laundering and professional body obligations.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, and understand usage patterns. We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic in aggregate. See our Cookie Notice for full detail and controls.
6. Who we share personal information with
We share personal information only with parties who need it to help us operate, and under appropriate contractual safeguards:
- our website host and email service provider;
- Google (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, Google Fonts);
- Calendly, for consultation scheduling;
- our professional advisors (legal, accounting, insurance) when necessary;
- regulators, courts, law enforcement or the SA Revenue Service where legally required.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal information for automated decision-making under Section 71 of POPIA.
7. Cross-border transfers
Some of our service providers (for example Google) process data outside South Africa. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards contemplated in Section 72 of POPIA, which include processing in a country with comparable data protection laws or under binding contractual terms equivalent in substance to POPIA's protections.
8. How long we keep your information
- Enquiry correspondence: up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymised unless an engagement is under way.
- Client engagement files: retained for the period required by the Companies Act, 71 of 2008, the Tax Administration Act, 28 of 2011 and SAICA professional obligations (minimum five years from conclusion of the engagement).
- Newsletter subscriber data: retained until you unsubscribe, plus a short reconciliation period.
- Website analytics: aggregated and retained in line with Google Analytics default retention settings.
9. Your rights under POPIA
Subject to the conditions in POPIA, you have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you;
- request access to and a copy of that information;
- request correction or deletion of inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out-of-date, incomplete, misleading or unlawfully obtained information;
- object to processing on reasonable grounds;
- withdraw consent where processing relies on consent;
- lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
To exercise any of these rights, email the Information Officer at info@noziconsults.com. We will respond within 30 calendar days. We may ask you to verify your identity before releasing information.
10. How we keep your information safe
We apply appropriate, reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure, including access control, encryption in transit, secure backups, supplier due diligence and regular review of our controls. In the unlikely event of a compromise that meets the threshold in Section 22 of POPIA, we will notify the Information Regulator and affected data subjects without undue delay.
11. Children
The website is directed at businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly process the personal information of children (persons under 18). If you believe a child has submitted information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Complaints
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your personal information, please contact the Information Officer first so we can try to resolve the matter. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa):
